Carla's Expenses

As of the last update, estimated cost of treatment will probably exceed 400,000 pesos.

Carla's first chemotherapy session starts 16 September 2004 in PGH. There will be a total of 6 sessions done in 3-week intervals. The cost for the drugs used for each session is approximately 51,848 pesos (Total: 311,088).

After chemotherapy, Carla will undergo a 30-day daily radiation therapy. The doctor recommended the use of a Linear Accelerator (LINAC). PGH does not have a LINAC and only a limited number of hospitals have this equipment. Carla is still evaluating her options. Approximate costs for the radiation therapy ranges from 40,000 to 70,000 pesos for the 30-day treatment.
