Winkilina Nepomuceno Montevirgen, 53, is married to Armando Montevirgen and has two children, her daughter Arwin, 21 and her son Kleman, 16. Winkie is a native of Marikina City and is the youngest of three children. Willie Nepomuceno is the eldest, and Winnie is the 2nd. They are fondly called Willie-Winnie-Winkie.

Winkie has been working as a merchandiser of garments for export, with different manufacturing and trading companies. The longest in her list is a German-owned firm, where she stayed for more than 8 years. Everything was fine with her job till she was diagnosed at age 52.
